World Skill Competition 2026

The World Skills Competition, the world’s largest vocational education and skills excellence event, is an Olympic-style contest for youth under 23 to showcase their skills. The 2026 edition will be held in Shanghai. In preparation, district and state-level skill competitions across 63 sectors are being organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training, Sector Skill Council, and industry partners. Eligibility: For 50 sectors, candidates must be born on or after Jan 1, 2004. For select fields like Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Industry 4.0, Mechatronics, and others, candidates must be born on or after Jan 1, 2001.

PIBM organized a heartfelt Raksha Bandhan celebration in August 2025,where students and faculty tied rakhis to soldiers' wrists. This thoughtful gesture beautifully symbolized love, prayer, and gratitude—extending familial warmth and safety wishes to those serving the nation. The soldiers were deeply touched, as the event bridged the emotional distance between home and duty and honoured their bravery with respect and affection.
